Learning Out Come One

During my earlier work in semester one my review and revising methods were rushed and unfocused. The first paper we wrote “The End of Food,” was so unorganized with no direction whatsoever. I blabbed on about nothing, had minimal quotes and even when I did I hardly explained why they were there. In paper three I started my paper in a similar way, unorganized with no idea what I was trying to get across to the reader. In my first draft I read the multiple text that were required for the project. I had no idea what my thesis or what I wanted to prove. I kept looking back at the text but It never helped. I realized that I was looking at the text all wrong. Instead of reading and trying to find out how there all connected, I began to question everything I was reading. This opened up new world of ideas that I used to connect the text. It wasn’t about what was actually written, it was about what I thought about it and how it made me feel. This was a way of thinking that took me awhile to understand but was surely necessary. I also have engaged a lot more in peer reviews, both reviewing and getting feedback. I have taken and understood more of the criticism and learned a lot by being more involved in others texts.
